Place all ingredients in a small heavy based saucepan. Gently simmer for 15 minutes and then remove the saucepan from the heat. Leave to the side to cool.
Once syrup has cooled strain syrup into a clean airtight container. Your syrup to water ratio factor will depend on how sweet you want your popsicles. I’m not going to give you exact measurements, as everyone’s popsicle moulds are different sizes.
Mix up your desired amount of liquid to turn into popsicles to the flavour strength you want. Just remember that you will be using the cherries as well.
Place cherries in your popsicle moulds, then pour over liquid. Poke paddle pop sticks or sticks that came with your moulds into place. Freeze.
