    Latvian

Latvian recipes are very close to my heart due to my heritage.  I was very hands on in my Grandmother and Great Grandmother's kitchen.  They encouraged me to learn the recipes and love the food from their mother country, Latvia.

I was happily part of the piragi production line as soon as I could roll dough.  Any Latvian will know that one!

    Abolu Pankukas (Latvian Apple Pancakes)

Piragi are traditional Latvian bacon buns. Made by my grandmother, myself and now my son. This recipe is a family tradition.
